Wölvhammer boot

The new Wölvhammer is designed for both on- and off-bike use. The three-piece sole uses a stiff, nylon shank in the cleat bed to improve pedaling efficiency, while EVA foam keeps things flexible enough to make hike-a-bike a lot less miserable if you have to dismount. The rubber outsole is equipped with anti-slip microglass inserts for traction on frozen lakes and other slippery surfaces. Wölvhammer also includes a removable cleat plate so you can ride comfortably with either clipless or flat pedals.

Wölvhammer’s two-boot construction is warmer and allows for faster drying. On multi-day bikepacking expeditions, remove the Primaloft-insulated liner boot and let it dry out overnight to start each day with warm, dry feet. The lightweight outer shell boot has waterproof construction and strategically-placed Aerogel insulation to seal out the elements when you’re plowing through deep snow, pedaling into an arctic headwind, or swapping stories around an impromptu campfire with your friends.

Wølfgar, our most extreme winter boot, now utilizes the BOA fit system. BOA distributes pressure more evenly than laces for a comfortable fit and easy adjustment. Now you can dial in the perfect fit mid-ride on the side of the trail without removing your gloves. With Aerogel insulation under the foot and over the toe, a removable merino liner boot, studdable Vibram® sole, and waterproof materials and construction, Wølfgar is still suited to riding in the harshest winter conditions, down to -25ºF.

Wølfgar is available now in sizes from 38 to 50.
