I’m an average Joe, just looking to ride hard and fast, enjoy my landscapes, and from time to time, push the limits. I race a bit, ride a lot, and bikepack here and there. I love a good IPA, obsess over Chicago White Sox baseball and enjoy going outside to snap photos. I thrive when races are over 150 miles and where I have no choice but to pedal through the night. Life is grand, enjoy it!
Favorite 45NRTH tire
Easy, Dillinger, both in 26” and 27.5” platforms. This tire has accompanied me to some amazing places, and has never let me down. Best all around tire I could ask for.
Favorite 45NRTH piece of non-rubber gear
I would have to say the pieces that keep my hands and feet warm when the temperatures dip in the negatives. Wølfgars and Cobrafists.
Favorite, or most notable, winter fat bike accomplishment or experience
It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the most rewarding race, which happens to also be the race I put the most time into training and preparation was the Iditarod Trail Invitational 350 last year (2018).
Biggest piece of advice you have to a new rider
Tire pressure is ohhh, so important. When you think you have the right pressure take a few more seconds of air out.
